Summer gets a sizzling start with Carmen Lundy joining Terri Lyne Carrington's Mosaic Project at The Playboy Jazz Festival on June 17th. The Hollywood Bowl is the perfect Summer setting for this amazing concert event.
Then on July 4th Carmen is in Montreal for one of the world's finest Festivals - The Festival International de Jazz de Montreal. It's sure to create musical fireworks! See her at Club Soda.

The Annual Mary Lou Williams Women In Jazz Festival at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. welcomes Carmen and her band back to the Terrace Theatre on May 10th. A Kennedy Center favorite, Carmen will be joined by Anthony Wonsey, Kenny Davis and Jamison Ross. May 12th will present Terri Lyne Carrington's "Mosaic Project", and the evening is sure to be full of surprises!
Joining the capacity crowd at the CD Release event at Studio City-based Jazz Upstairs at Vitello's was the incomparable and inspiring Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. What an honor and privilege to be in the presence of this great and courageous man. Thank you to all my fans, friends and family who showed your love and support in the soulful city of LA!

Drummer Terri Lyne Carrington's new CD called The Mosaic Project has won Best Jazz Vocal Album on the 54th Grammy Awards! Carmen's original song “Show Me a Sign” (which is on her CD “Solamente”), is given a fresh take by Terri Lyne and gives Carmen's vocal performance a new twist. The album features some of the great ladies of Jazz in a collection of inspired originals and new arrangements. Now herself a Grammy Winner for her participation on this project, Carmen is featured on this excellent video showc

For all those who have been looking for a copy of NIGHT AND DAY, the 1987 release of all standards featuring Kenny Kirkland, the wait is over! Afrasia Productions, Inc. is re-issuing this out-of-print, much sought-after CD. Available for the first time after many years, the album contains the original tracks with new artwork created by Carmen Lundy especially for this reissue.
After spending the holiday in Aspen, CO at Jazz Aspen Snowmass, Carmen and the band kick off the New Year with a month-long European tour.
Dr. Billy Taylor, a true giant in the Jazz world, passed away earlier this year. In one of many musical tributes to this remarkable man, Carmen Lundy will be joined by Geri Allen and others on November 11, 2011 (11/11/11) at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. We'll keep you posted with more details.
